THE MELBOURNE CUP.

My dream was to firstly be involved in racing as an owner, then to become involved in a group that wanted to achieve results on the racetrack, and had a plan about the way in going about it.

In 2012, I was invited to a SHERGAR THOROUGHBREDS function where
I met Managing Director, Brendan Tohill, Director Dr Sue Taylor, and the rest of the SHERGAR family, and I was awe struck, as I had finally found the exact business group I had formulated in my mind. I purchased interests in 2 yearlings on that first night, and they became CHABELLE and SAVVY KINGSTONETTE - both winners. Later on, I would buy into the DON EDUARDO gelding that became DON DOREMO, and at the time of writing this, he has become a GROUP level performer, having had a 3rd in THE QUEENS CUP on the last day of the Flemington spring carnival, and a 5th in the ZIPPING CLASSIC, after nearly falling in the barriers, and being interfered with in the race. SHERGAR buys in NEW ZEALAND, and only from staying bloodlines. SHERGAR is doing all in its power to win staying races - CUPS, DERBYS AND OAKS, and everything else that is raced over 2000 metres plus !!
