It is with great pleasure I present myself to you in a format that encapsulates the legal work I am involved in,and my other business and sports pursuits.

HISTORY
I was educated at Xavier College and Monash University,and have degrees in Economics and Law. I commenced my legal career in Greensborough, prior to moving to Coburg and opening “Stephen J Peak & Co” in 1987,and I am still going strong in Albert Park,Victoria.

THE LAW
I practice in all court jurisdictions,but in particular,I take instructions from you in the major parts of the law that effect you,the client.
Motor Vehicle Law.
Family Law.
Commercial Law – including debt recovery,contract and business disputes,commercial leasing,franchising disputes,licencing and a host of other issues surrounding the area of commercial law.
Local, State and Federal Government matters involving permits,licences
and rights. These are the areas of law that have the major effect on the majority of the population.

I operate all my own files. I am in regular contact with my clients and sometimes contactable after normal business hours. I hold conferences after normal work hours (including weekends) to assist clients in the “9 to 5” environment,and I travel to meeting places suitable for conferences with my clients – it could be a board room at your office,a coffee shop or a court room in a court building – flexibility is the name of the game in the modern era !! Where necessary,I brief Counsel at the Victorian Bar for expert assistance and court appearances where the matter requires such expertise. I have an excellent relationship with the Victorian Bar,and with the Magistrates Court system in Victoria. I fight hard when required,but mediate when necessary. I fully understand economics must be considered at all times in progressing a law case.

MEDIA
I have been involved over the years in many radio programs,mainly involving the law,but also incorporating sports issues. I have appeared on 3RRR,3AW,3CR,SPORT 927 and SEN1116,where I am currently based.
I have been interviewed on GTV-9 and been on a sports show on
CHANNEL 31.

SPORTS INTERESTS
I am a member of the AFL, VRC,ST KILDA FC,TROA and MCC.
I am the Lawyer for Shergar Thoroughbreds, and Public Relations Manager.
I was a former Director of Memorabiliacs Anonymous Pty Ltd, a company that printed the famous WEG VFL/AFL Grand Final Posters.
I manufactured (with the Melbourne-Footscray Full Back) the "Campbell Peak Football Gloves" between 1992 to 1995 in the AFL, and the "Campbell-Peak Arthritis Gloves" for the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria.

CHARITY WORK
I support the RECLINK FOUNDATION, an organization which provides sports opportunities to citizens struggling with alcohol and drug issues. RECLINK is fully supported by the Law Institute of Victoria and the Victorian Bar.
I commentate the yearly "Frank Galbally Cup" between Solicitors and Barristers. I commentated at ringside Boxing and Kick-boxing for 14 years from 1997 to 2010. I have represented sportsmen in litigation cases involving sports injuries, contract disputes, business issues and licensing matters. I am currently assisting a group attempting to put a Victorian based team into the pioneering LGL ( Ladies Gridiron League).

I love my sport, and am available to assist individuals and organisations where needed, and where my involvement is cost effective for all.
